Abraham Lincoln accomplished many of his goals during the war and changed the nation forever. He still has affect on our lives today, his moral values are still at the core of this great country.

This quote said during the Gettysburg Address near the end of the war. Lincoln wanted to show that there was a new birth of freedom in the freeing of the slaves and that democracy would stay strong in the country.

He has given his life to free the slaves and improve their lives as well as preserve the union
